Strength Flow Yoga with Music
Mondays at 8pm + Wednesdays at 7:30pm
Strength flow yoga is a vigorous, physically challenging and heating style of yoga. Postures are linked together in flowing sequences connected by the breath to create a practice of continuous movement. And have fun listening to music while you practice!
You will get sweaty, but after a relaxing cool down, you will leave feeling refreshed.
Suitable for all levels, or those looking to compliment another non-yoga activity.
Gentle Hatha Yoga
Wednesdays at 9:30am + Fridays at 8:45am
This gentle style of yoga teaches students to breathe deeply and stretch safely. It will increase flexibility, strength and stamina.
This slower practice emphasizes a balance of body alignment and breathing techniques to stretch and strengthen your body with gentle transitions and minimal weight bearing on your hands. Each class ends with a relaxation posture to help calm the mind.
This class is recommended for all levels, including beginners.
Saturdays at 9:30am
All levels are welcome! This slower-paced, stretching-focused class will help you to build body awareness, strength and flexibility.
Hatha yoga is a perfect compliment to more active exercises (running, walking, cycling) as it deeply stretches and increases joint mobility.
Postures to help support the spine and abdominals (core) will also be introduced.
Each class ends with a relaxation posture to help calm the mind.
Core Building Pilates
Tuesdays + Thursdays at 9:05am
Tuesdays + Thursdays at 7:15pm
A great class for beginner and intermediate students looking to improve core strength and all over tone. Pilates can help elevate back pain, strengthen your joints and improve posture.
Fluid Stretch Yoga
Mondays at 6:30pm + Wednesdays at 6:00pm
A perfect class to enjoy at the end of your busy day. Fluid stretch yoga will help you to shed your stress and iron out the kinks in your body.
We will create fluidity between asanas (poses) without the strenuous up and down of vinyasa with plenty of opportunity for deep stretches. To close off the class there's a restorative pose to help you recharge.
A beginner to intermediate level class, detailed instruction given for those new to yoga.
Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga
Sundays at 10:15am
This is an introduction to the dynamic practice of Ashtanga Yoga. No prior experience with yoga is needed - beginners are welcome!
Each class is designed to make the poses of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series accessible to each student's individual needs. Instruction is personalized, and modifications and hands-on adjustments will be provided when helpful. You will also learn the three tools of deepening your awareness that make Ashtanga such a powerful practice: breath, bandha (energetic locks in the body), and your looking focus (drishti).
Lead Yoga Instructor & Class Coordinator
Stephanie received her yoga certification in Hatha Vinyasa yoga from Cynthia Funk and Karusia Wroblewski at the Yoga Sanctuary in Toronto. Since then, she has continued to accumulate training hours in Yin, Power Yoga, Yoga for Anxiety, and Children’s Yoga. She’s also completed Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Meditation program. Stephanie has had the opportunity to learn from renowned Canadian teachers like Eoin Finn, Cathy Keenan, Tama Soble and Shehla Kahn; and international teachers, Amy Ippoliti, Jason Crandell and Seane Corn.
In addition to teaching at some of the most respected yoga studios and fitness clubs in Toronto, Stephanie has taught corporate yoga workshops to employees of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment. She has also created specialized yoga programs for pre-teen and teen hockey players in the GTA, and has taught yoga to teens at several elementary and high schools in Toronto.
Lead Pilates Instructor
Kaylie has had a passion for fitness from an early age and has worked in the health and wellness industry since 2002. In 2012, Kaylie became a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor after her apprenticeship at the STOTT PILATES head office in Toronto. She is trained in the full repertoire including Advanced Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. She also holds a designation of Post-Rehab Specialist through STOTT PILATES.
In recent years her passion for Pilates and travel combined to take her around the world teaching Pilates in such countries as Spain, India and China.
Kaylie is currently working toward another designation in Athletic Conditioning through STOTT PILATES. She is committed to helping people reach their strength and conditioning goals.
Kaylie also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University or Western Ontario and a Post-Graduate Degree in Arts and Media.
