Dr. Tara Sloan, ND
Naturopathic Doctor and Certified myoActivation Practitioner
About Tara:
Dr. Tara Sloan, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor with nearly 20 years of clinical experience helping patients restore movement, reduce pain, and reconnect with their health. Her practice focuses on chronic pain, fatigue, improving the aesthetics and function of scars, and mobility, with an emphasis on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Tara’s background in kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology gives her a deep understanding of how the body moves and heals. After personally experiencing the life-changing effects of myoActivation®, she trained directly with its founder, Dr. Greg Siren, MD, and became certified in the technique.
Today, she integrates myoActivation® alongside acupuncture, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and functional testing to create highly individualized treatment plans that address both the physical and biochemical layers of health.
Known for her thoughtful, hands-on approach, Tara blends science with intuition to help patients move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their bodies.
“Wellness isn’t just the absence of pain; it’s the ease, energy, and confidence that come when your body feels like it’s truly yours again.”

How She Works
Every patient begins with a comprehensive naturopathic assessment that explores health history, lifestyle, lab results, and functional testing when needed.
Tara’s goal is to understand what’s driving your symptoms, physically, biochemically, and structurally, so that treatment addresses both the surface and root causes.
Treatment plans may include a combination of:
myoActivation® Therapy — a movement-based needling technique that releases fascial restrictions and restores mobility
Acupuncture for pain, stress, hormonal, and energy regulation
Nutritional and lifestyle medicine to support long-term recovery and wellness
Functional lab testing to assess hormones, inflammation, and metabolic health
Targeted supplementation and nutrient therapy where appropriate
Each treatment plan is completely individualized, designed to meet you where you are and evolve as your health improves.

How Can Naturopathic Medicine Help with Pain?
Naturopathic medicine looks at pain from every angle — not just where it hurts, but why. Chronic pain and fatigue often stem from deeper factors like inflammation, hormonal imbalance, fascial restriction, nutrient deficiencies, or prolonged stress on the nervous system. These layers all influence how the body heals, moves, and responds to treatment.
Dr. Tara Sloan, ND combines hands-on therapies such as myoActivation® and acupuncture with nutrition, functional lab testing, and lifestyle medicine to uncover and treat these root causes. By restoring balance within the body’s structural, biochemical, and hormonal systems, she helps reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and promote lasting relief.
Tara also recognizes the mental and emotional toll of living with ongoing pain or exhaustion. The stress of “pushing through” can heighten pain sensitivity and drain energy. Her treatments include tools to support the nervous system, improve sleep and stress response, and help patients reconnect with a sense of ease and control in their health.
The goal isn’t just to reduce pain, it’s to restore function, energy, and quality of life, so you can feel capable and at home in your body again.
